We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may change this policy from time to time. Please check this page occasionally to ensure that you are aware of any changes.

During use of Creatrix, you will be asked to supply certain information that will facilitate use of the site. In principle, this is a public site and published content may be viewed by anyone visiting the public areas of the site. To be able to post content, you must join as a subscriber, and to do that you will be required to purchase a subscription. Your full name is the only personal information viewable to visitors of the site.

What information do we collect?

When subscribing as a Creatrix, you will be first asked to enter your full name, a username, a password, and an email address.

Your activities on the site are identified by your “full name” only.  All other information is maintained in confidence by the administrator and is never shared with any other third party for any purpose whatsoever.

When processing payment via a PayPal Account or by credit card (either for membership purposes or in the Store), all additional information such as account numbers, credit card numbers, address and telephone numbers are collected, transmitted to, and stored by PayPal and your credit card company to process payment. Creatrix does not retain that information and has no access to it. PayPal and your credit card company are solely responsible for how it is subsequently used.

  • If you subscribe to the Forum (all discussions or individual categories), you will be notified when new topics are posted. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Guests who make comments on creations are asked to provide their name for reference purposes only.
  • As a member, you may receive occasional emails from Creatrix administration regarding the site in addition to the weekly Creative Prompts (via MailChimp). You can unsubscribe from the mailing list by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.

We will not sell, distribute, or release your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission, or are required by law to do so. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or you prefer to delete your account, you may do so by heading over to your profile page.

How do we protect your information?

You will notice that the url of the site begins “https://.” This indicates that the site has a security certificate (SSL or Secure Sockets Layer) that encrypts all data as it moves across the internet to protect it from interception or hacking.

In addition, we have a firewall on the site server to provide added protection.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow). They enable the site's or service provider's systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

For example, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. Cookies help analyze web traffic or let you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences. You may choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may stop our website from functioning correctly.

Essential Cookies

When you access our website, the website will create an essential cookie that is needed for the operation of the website. The essential cookie will remember that you are logged in and that your session is secure.

Site Content

All creations are viewable by any visitor to the site unless you designate the post as private.  Private creations are only viewable by other active subscribers.

If your membership expires, your creations remain on the site under your name. However, your biography is hidden and your access to your profile and creations is blocked. If you would like your creations removed, you must contact site administration (you will receive a cancellation email prompting you to do so).

During your active membership, you can unpublish any creation to remove it from view by others. It will remain in the site archives, and can be republished should you choose to do so.

You can also trash any creation. In this case, the creation is removed from public view and from your dashboard. It remains on the server in the trash, until deleted permanently by the site administrator (which will be done on a regular basis).

Forum topics are visible only to active Creatrices. The topic, and all subsequent replies can be deleted by the person posting the original topic.  Once deleted, they cannot be recovered. Anyone posting a reply to a topic can delete their own reply. The deleted reply cannot be recovered.
